PostHeaderIcon Student World Challenge 2010 – Expedition conquered Quiltoa Crater

On 5 Herschel Grammar School in July of 2010 World Team Challenge ended in Quito, Ecuador. Since then, 11 students (15-18 years) and three adults went to the top of the peak Ilao “south of Quito, La Luna, and traveled to the altitude Mojanda lakes and visit the colorful market Zumbahau.

The team has learned on the edge of a canyon through a pine forest in the crater, where they appeared Quilotoa the crater rim with its magnificent view over the emerald green lake. They traveled from Quilotoa Chuchilan venturing into the nearby cloud forest with lush vegetation and steep inclines and numerous waterfalls. From there, the crew will return to Machachi, a town near the “Valley of the Volcanoes and the entrance to Cotopaxi National Park.
